Jewellery Care
A good rule of thumb to follow:
Jewelry should always be the last thing you put on before you go out,
and the first thing you take off when you come home.
We strive to make our jewellery low maintenance and durable while keeping our delicate aesthetic in mind. Each piece is hand crafted and should always be handled delicately. Although we use quality materials to create our pieces, proper maintenance will help ensure that your pieces last.
• Wear: Avoid contact with water, sweat, perfume and beauty products. A few times won't hurt, but do try to avoid these if you can! We strongly recommend removing jewelry with set stones before showering.
• Tarnish Resistance: All of our hardware is finished with a high quality tarnish resistant finish - 14k gold fill and rhodium, and satin or shiny. Although our pieces are tarnish resistant, they are not tarnish proof. The speed at which your pieces will tarnish/plating finish wearing off depends on how frequently you wear your piece, your body chemistry and how you take care of your pieces (see below for helpful tips). In the case that your piece fades, please contact us and we'll do our best to bring it back to life for a small fee.
• Storage: Avoid exposing your pieces to direct sunlight, heat and moisture, this will ensure that the stones and beads used are as vibrant as they were the day you purchased them! Keep your jewellery in an airtight box or zip bag - away from hairsprays, perfumes, scented candles and air fresheners.
• Cleaning: Sanitize all earrings before wearing them with rubbing alcohol and a clean cotton pad/tissue. For regular maintenance, gently wash with a mild soap and pat dry with a clean towel.
